Through our Venture Building Collaboration Model, we run a continuous open call for innovation ideas. Essentially any inventor or business can approach us with an innovative product idea. As Venture Builders, SKEG collaborate with founders through co-investment and risk-sharing models to realise tangible products and increases in company valuation.

Consultative Innovation

When it comes to Consultative Innovation, the context of the company is critical in our evaluation process. SKEG treats each company’s needs on its individual merits. In fact, having an unbiased lens enhances the value-addition we can offer.
When developing an understanding of the Company context we typically look at the following areas of evaluation and potential for value innovation:

  • Assessment of company risks and opportunities
  • Understanding of operation cost drivers
  • Asset utilisation and systemic workflow analysis (value-based viewpoint)
  • Technology roadmap and future initiatives planned

Based on such an assessment, development initiatives can be identified and commenced as per an agreed proposal and negotiation process. Such negotiations could involve a pure service-based model or a collaborative partnership where risk is shared to reach the envisioned value.

End-to-End Development

At SKEG, we bring extensive industry knowledge and proven methodologies to streamline the entire product development life-cycle, ensuring a smooth journey from initial concept to final manufacturing.

Our End-to-End Development process acts as a bridge, guiding your idea to become a market-ready product. We accompany you every step of the way, beginning with our Discovery and Ideation phase. Design to Scale

SKEG offers its clients a unique collaboration opportunity through its Design-to-Scale Model.

Conventional contract manufacturing requires a mature design data pack to minimise liability. Instead, SKEG’s business ethos is centered around integrated value delivery. By commencing collaboration on a design level, we work together to deliver, protect, and enhance value delivery. Our engineering capability allows for continuous improvement (value engineering) to protect the current and future value of the product.

Having a manufacturing partner with in-house design and development capabilities as well as experience in maturing a design towards scale can offer several benefits:

  • Seamless Design-to-Manufacturing Process: By having a single partner who can handle both design and manufacturing, there is a more seamless transition between the design and manufacturing phases of a product. This can lead to faster time-to-market and fewer errors or delays.
  • Reduced Costs: A manufacturing partner who can design and develop a product in-house may be able to identify cost saving opportunities earlier in the design phase.
